Ampfab’s in-house design, manufacture, installation and consultancy processes are adaptable to support our different types of client – from private collectors to museum and gallery curators, architects, specifiers and other professions.
Private individuals usually have a good idea of what they want to achieve but don’t know the manufacturing and installation process involved. We’ll usually handle the process from their idea or rough sketch. We will advise them and discuss what they need.
We usually then provide an AutoCAD design which we send to them to look at. Once they have checked and approved the proposal, we will then look to manufacture the system from the design.
Architects will usually have a clearer understanding of what they want. They will typically come to us with a brief and drawings. They will tell us to fit our expertise into their brief. They will hand that specific part of the process to us. In general, we’re not asked to create drawings for architects. However there are examples when we do.
Clients trust our knowledge and experience, and like the fact that we do not out-source our work. Ampfab produce all their own AutoCAD drawings in-house and all our manufacturing and installations are carried out by fully trained and experienced Ampfab personnel.
Some gallery and museum curators will have very clear ideas of what they want, perhaps through working with us previously. We work with them by hopping-on to their project and providing the specific experience and services required.
Sometimes curators will not have a specific idea of what they want. They come to us with a ‘blank canvas’ and we will start the process from there. We generally work from the assumption that clients do not have a specific idea and we take them through the whole process.
We emphasise our honest, professional and unbiased opinions. If we think a plan is unrealistic, non-sensical, problematic or has poor aesthetics, we will explain why and offer alternatives.
MUSEUM & GALLERY CURATORS
Some gallery and museum curators will have very clear ideas of what they want, perhaps through working with us previously. We work with them by hopping-on to their project and providing the specific experience and services required.
However, sometime curators will not have a specific idea of what they want. They come to us with a ‘blank canvas’ and we will start the process from there. We generally work from the assumption that clients do not have a specific idea and we take them through the whole process. We also work with new and trainee curators.
ARCHITECTS & SPECIFIERS
Architects will usually have a clearer understanding of what they want. They will typically come to us with a brief and drawings. They will ask us to fit our expertise into their brief. They will hand that specific part of the process to us. In general, we’re not asked to create drawings for architects. However, there are examples when we do.
Clients trust our knowledge and experience, and like the fact that we do not out-source our work. Phil does all our CAD design drawings in-house and all our manufacturing and installation is done by us.
PRIVATE COLLECTORS
Private individuals usually have a good idea of what they want to achieve but don’t know the manufacturing and installation process involved. We’ll usually handle the process from their idea or rough sketch. We will advise them and discuss what they need.
We usually then design an auto CAD layout which we send to them to look at. Once they have checked and approved the proposal, we will then look to manufacture the system from the design.
